Welcome here! Who is Laura?

What is life without the joy of documenting it? What would the world be like if photos did not exist to capture those special memories made?

I started photography in 2011. Recently I’ve also added analog / film photography. It’s been a wild ride but I have finally started making my mark in this world – and I want you do to the same!

Being a photographer means you are naturally painting with light and seeing things from different perspectives and angles than when you are in everyday life. Over the years I have also become a photography teacher and a mentor for others. Find more information in my courses.

In 2018 I added videography to my repertoire. I vary between casual vlog style on my Youtube channel and cinematographic effects when shooting with the full-frame camera. Overall, I found people online engage more with narrated and documented vlog type of content – especially when it comes to travel and exploring landmark places. I am able to do both styles.

I have combined my two passions in one and started hosting group tours for all the photographers and travelers among us. My tours lead to places you would perhaps not feel entirely comfortable going to alone but would love to explore at least once in your lifetime. Some also combine culinary experiences in them. More things to know about me…

I grew up in Germany and Europe was my backyard. My family always traveled several times throughout the year. The proximity of countries made it easy.

New York City has been my home of choice since 2010.

I have so far traveled to 47+ countries and the majority of US states.

I have lived on three different continents (Europe, the US and Australia).

I’ve been a regular female solo traveler since 2013 and on. Indeed, my very first solo trip was as a 15-year-old. Back then I flew to Malta for two weeks during my school holidays. It changed my world. I love to bring this perspective forward to others. There is nothing like broadening your outlook and keeping an open mindset when traveling.

Traveling and photography are my passion. I love to document scenes but I also like to pose others. I started photography in 2011 and have been passionate about it ever since. Below you can find some self-portraits taken when out on the road in Australia (Blue Mountain area).
